Radnor Lad wins

Radnor Lad landed Richard's 15th winner of the season at Towcester. Blinkered for the first time, Radnor Lad made most of the running before showing great stamina to stay on up the stiff Towcester run in.

Richard Johnson who steered the gelding to victory did well to stay in the plate on a couple of occasions - most notably at the third last.

Silivri made her debut for the yard at Ludlow this week. This impressive grey mare, by Silver Patriarch, finished fourth in a competitive mares' only hurdle. She is sure to progress on this fine performance and we are looking forward to a bright future with her.

Extra Bold (pictured right) is another who has impressed recently. Theo, as he is known at home, did well to finish third in a competitive h'cap chase at Chepstow.

Jolejoker, Mister Potter, Potts Of Magic, Marked Man, Ile de Paris and Pedros Brief have all run into the frame on their most recent starts and all can score again.

Indeed, Mister Potter (below) ran a cracking race to finish third at Newbury. Beaten just three lengths by the improving Island Flyer, Mister Potter put up resolute display. He is improving with every start and looks sure to be an exciting prospect. Mister Potter holds two entries at Cheltenham this week.

Pedros Brief is now on his summer break.

Three for Cottingham this season and 14 for Richard!

Cottingham landed his third win of the season at Ludlow on Monday.

This smart Perugino gelding put up a fine display of jumping in the Church Stretton H'cap Hurdle and went away to win by two and a half lengths.

Charlie Poste, who claimed a valuable 3lbs, took the ride. Lady Ripley and Will, Nicky and Henry Roseff were on hand to greet their winner.

Jolejoker
Jolejoker keeps us smiling at Warwick

Jolejoker landed a well-deserved victory at Warwick on under Richard Johnson. This smart Alflora gelding handled the heavy ground well and went on to win the Warwick Racecourse H'cap Chase by two lengths.

Earlier on the card, Ile de Paris was touched off by the shortest of heads to again deny him a win. However, he is running better than ever and won't stay out of the winners' enclosure for too much longer.

Jolejoker was Richard's 13th winner of the season and keeps the stable within the top 40 in the country.

Mister Potter impressed on Festival Trials day at Cheltenham. James and Jean Potter's homebred gelding finished third in the Timeform Novices' H'cap Chase over two miles and five furlongs.

Big Potter, as he is known at home, raced up with the pace early on. He stayed on well up the hill and will now step back up to three miles.

Borora ran yet another solid and game race to finish second up at Doncaster. Beaten just a length and a half, Borora ran another superb race. Borora unseated Charlie Poste in the Racing Post Plate at Cheltenham but ran a fine race until that point.

Mister Potter
Almaydan put up a fine performance under top weight at Warwick in early January to finish a gallant and fast-finishing third.

Almaydan pictured left and right

Prior to this, Almaydan put up a fine display in the Castleford Chase, Wetherby's feature event on December 27. Ridden by Warren Marston, Almaydan challenged at the last but was just tapped for toe on the run in. However, this was a fine performance and one to be proud of.

Almdaydan landed the yard's 11th victory of the season back at Wetherby.

Skippy, as he is known at home, scored by three and a half lengths under new partner, Tom Greenall. The rain softenened ground - officially soft (heavy in places) - suited Almaydan who sat in second during the first circuit of the race. He took up the running two out before staying on well after the last.

Go Pedro! Now it's 12 on the board for Richard . . .

Pedros Brief

Pedros Brief notched up his second successive win at Huntingdon on Boxing Day. This emphatic success followed a solid victory at Hereford. Congratulations to the Gale Force Syndicate.

Pedro's Brief galloped and jumped his rivals into submission - his seven length victory was reported to be 'easy'.

Pedro's Brief won the Richard Davis Memorial Handicap Chase at Hereford. This was the stable's fourth winner inside a fortnight and tenth success of the campaign so far.

Pedro, owned by Gale Force Five, stormed home to win by an impressive three and a half lengths. Choc Thornton steered this impressive gelding to victory, sealing the deal with a mighty leap at the last.

Pedro joined The Bell House having suffered blood vessel problems elsewhere.

Further north during the Christmas period, Goforthegap finished second at Sedgefield, beaten just a length and a quarter.

Ile de Paris put up yet another solid performance at Chepstow. Having finished third in the corresponding h'cap hurdle at last year's meeting, Paris went on to go one better this time. Although beaten 9 lengths, this was another good show and will have boosted his confidence after a fall (though no fault of his own) when in contention at Wetherby last time.
